The Bagan to Mandalay Boat Tour will start in the afternoon at 15:00. The boat leaves upstream Irrawaddy for Mount Tangyi. Along the majestic river you will have the opportunity to see beautiful sceneries. Upon arrival at the foot of Mt Tangyi where the boat drops anchor, walk or take a carriage ride to the summit of the mountain where you can have a beautiful view over the plain of Bagan. You will have dinner and stay overnight on board when enjoying the view of Bagan.

In early morning, continue the trip to Mandalay. Comfortably installed on the upper deck, you will discover the life on the river and its banks: fishing villages, buffaloes, wheat fields, “floating markets” and washerwomen. In the afternoon, you will visit Yandabo, a small village along the Irrawaddy which specializes in making pottery. It was in this village that the peace treaty ending the First Anglo-Burmese War (1824-1826) was signed on February 24, 1826; by which Burma lost Assam, Manipur, Arakan and Tenasserim. Dinner and overnight on board.

After sunrise, breakfast is served when the boat starts sailing. You will fall under the charm of the beautiful landscape and will observe the traditional activities along the Irrawaddy. In the afternoon, you will reach the city of Inwa (Ava). Inwa was the capital of the kingdom of Burma for nearly 400 years, from the 14th to the 18th century. Discover the city by carriage. Visit the Maha Aungmye Bonzan, a beautiful monastery of brick and stucco, and the Bagaya Kyaung monastery, one of the few survivors of teak with its impressive wood carvings. After visiting Inwa, board the boat across the river to anchor in Sagaing. Dinner and overnight on board.

After breakfast, we will visit on foot or by carriage the astonishing Sagaing hill with hundreds of monasteries and pagodas. Sagaing is a religious and monastic center and has many Buddhist monasteries. It was the capital of the Kingdom of Sagaing (Burma-Shan) from 1315 to 1364. The view from Sagaing Hill, which includes 500 temples overlooking the Ayeyarwady, is unforgettable.Return to the boat which will then return to Mandalay and arrive at the jetee in Mandalay at noon.
