The only way to access Ngapali is the plane, which limits the number of visitors. It is accessible from Yangon, Bagan and Inle Lake (high season only). You can choose from many hotels located on the edge of the beach ranging from simple bungalows to elegant luxury hotels.
Also located on the Gulf of Bengal, but further south compared to Ngapali, Ngwe Saung is still little known to travelers. This beautiful beach – whose name means “Silver Beach” – is long fifteen kilometers; you will love its silver sand, crystal clear water and palm trees in a well-preserved environment.

Chaung Tha Beach
One of the three most famous beaches in Myanmar, Chaung Tha is a quiet Bay of Bengal coastal town. Less popular to foreign tourists than Ngapali or nearby Ngwe Saung, it is a fun beach resort that’s popular with Burmese middle-class. The vast shoreline provides plenty of refuge, it is perfect both for couples seeking romantic getaway and solo travelers looking for unwind quietly.
The beach is only two kilometers long and lacks white sand perfection as Ngapali and Ngwe Saung, but seafood is fresh, the beach is pretty clean, and beach vendors are not pushy. So it’s nothing could go wrong if you are in budget and in need of proper sun and sand.
You can relax on the chairs and umbrellas set up for guests in front of resorts, and pamper yourself in a lovely beach, or take part in other activities of visit nearby island, fishing villages, and go diving.

Although located only 12 kilometers from Dawei, the beach is very under-developed, and primarily servicing the locals. It is very quite on weekdays.

The sublime beach is absolutely nothing but nature. It’s not often that you can step into hidden beach paradise, but as you climb across the rocks to the final bay to find the footprint, you may have just found Holy Grail!
Teyzit is one of the most beautiful white sand beaches with amazing water clarity in Dawei. There are two small islands off the beach you can reach by long tail boat.
